Expansion

It’s about creating new skills, perspectives, relationships, awareness, and achievements. It’s about taking on and solving intriguing challenges. It’s about transforming ourselves and our systems. Maybe it’s a need. Definitely it’s a longing, even if sometimes it’s also scary.  Ideally, expansion betters us, sometimes beyond what we thought possible.

Longing for expansion?

Achievement

It’s completing something by effort, courage, or skill, that sparks happiness, satisfaction, pride, confidence, motivation, or performance. It brings us peace, too. No matter big or small, simple or earth-shattering, alone or with others, achievement feels great and moves us forward.

Pursuing achievement?

Engagement

It’s the connection and enthusiasm we feel about our jobs and workplaces, and it’s reflected by our vigor, resilience, dedication, and ability to get into flow. (Check out the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale). It’s linked to better performance, higher productivity, greater wellbeing, and lower absenteeism.

Want to ramp up engagement?

Wellbeing

It’s how we feel. Professionally, it’s how we feel at work and about work, including job satisfaction, emotional experience, achievement, and purpose. (Definition from Oxford experts Jan-Emmanuel De Neve and George Ward.) Deep wellbeing is directly linked to recruitment, retention, productivity, engagement, and financial performance.

Want to nurture wellbeing?

Belonging

It’s a fundamental human need. It means we’re welcome as our whole selves, we’re deeply connected to others, we’re fully seen, and we can make our own choices. (Check out UC Berkeley’s Hossein Ayazi’s amazing work.) It’s what employees want most, and it drives happiness and profit. (Indeed.com and Oxford’s Wellbeing Research Centre have great new research.)

If belonging is your thing

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Art of Management (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit art-of-management.com, use our online learning platform, or otherwise interact with us, and how we use, share, and protect that information.

Information we collect

Account and enrollment information. When you create an account or purchase a course, we collect your name, email address, billing address, and payment information. Payment information is processed by our payment processor and is never stored on our servers.

Learning activity. We record your progress through each course you enroll in, including which lessons you have viewed, which quizzes you have taken, your quiz scores, and the notes and reflections you write in the interactive workbooks. This activity is used to power your User Portal, generate your completion certificates, and help us improve the courses.

Course feedback and surveys. If you submit a course feedback form, your responses are stored with your submission. You may choose to submit anonymously by checking the “Prefer to review anonymously” box, in which case we handle your submission as anonymous internally.

Usage data. We collect standard technical information about how you use the site, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent. This data helps us understand how the site is performing and where we can improve it.

Cookies. We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember your course progress, and analyze site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

How we use your information

  • To provide the courses and features you purchased or requested
  • To send you account-related and course-related emails (purchase confirmations, completion certificates, course updates)
  • To send you our newsletter and marketing emails when you have opted in, which you can unsubscribe from at any time
  • To improve our courses, tools, and site based on aggregated learning activity and feedback
  • To meet legal and accounting requirements

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the site (hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics) and only to the extent needed to deliver our courses to you. Each of those providers is bound by confidentiality obligations. We may also share information when required by law.

Group and team purchases

If your employer or a group leader purchased your course seat, the group leader may see whether you have started, are in progress on, or have completed the courses assigned to you. They do not see the content of your notes, reflections, or quiz responses.

Your notes and reflections

The notes and reflections you write in the interactive workbooks are for your eyes only. We do not read them, share them, or use them for any purpose beyond storing them in your User Portal so you can revisit them at any time.

Your rights

You can access, correct, or delete your account and the personal information we hold about you at any time by logging into your User Portal or by contacting us. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our active systems, subject to any legal record-keeping requirements.

Data retention

We retain your account, enrollment, and learning activity information for as long as you have an active account with us and for a reasonable period after your account is closed for legal, tax, and business purposes.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the information you share with us, including secure hosting, encryption in transit, and access controls. No system is ever completely secure, so we ask you to help us by choosing a strong password and keeping it private.

Children

Our courses are designed for professionals and are not intended for anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will do our best to notify you by email.
